What began as a simple idea to protect local access and increase property values has grown into a patented platform reshaping how destinations balance residents and visitors. Through instant residency verification, PARKLINQ converts demand into managed access, sustainable revenue, and a smarter model for tourism-driven communities.
In visitor-heavy communities, unmanaged parking can strain neighborhoods and infrastructure. With managed access, demand becomes a resource — supporting local services, preserving community character, and funding the places people come to experience. The key is doing it without putting the burden on residents.
Visitors from out-of-state pay as usual, while locals can verify residency by holding their driver’s license to their phone camera — unlocking free or resident-rates and reserved spaces just for locals. In tourism hubs where parking has long been free — or priced below market — residents keep their access, while visitors contribute fair rates — creating balance, and funding operations & capital projects without pricing out the community.
PARKLINQ®
Made for locals. Driven by innovation.
Tourism often sustains local economies, but when it overwhelms, it strains neighborhoods, raises
prices, and puts pressure on public infrastructure. The answer isn’t
simply less tourism — it’s balance.
Our first patent protects fair access to parking — for locals, in visitor hubs — keeping daily life moving for residents.
Our second patent extends the concept of sustainable tourism beyond parking—powering locals-first pricing, exclusive resident access, and visitor-funded contributions across industries far beyond mobility. Imagine applying these same principles to ski lift tickets, amusement parks, stadiums, toll roads, public transit, or cultural sites like museums and landmarks.
This framework opens the door for hotel brands, airlines, car rentals, tour operators, and rideshare platforms—as well as ticketing platforms like Ticketmaster and FairHarbor, and booking giants like Expedia, Airbnb, and Viator—to offer locals-only perks on tickets or reservations. Even national and state parks, golf courses, and experience-driven venues can use it to reward local participation and manage visitor access on select days or during certain hours.
Anywhere people gather or book experiences at scale, our technology can turn access into sustainable tourism: perks for locals, fair contributions from visitors.
Convert demand into managed access & dependable revenue for cleaner parks, safer streets, cultural programs, and local infrastructure — without losing the benefits tourism brings. With U.S. patents secured and applications pending across 46 countries, PARKLINQ is the first platform designed to keep communities livable, vibrant, and distinctly local — while opening their doors to the world.
Where we're going is shaped by the

The $80 handshake deal
behind PARKLINQ.
Honolulu, 2018. Before founding PARKLINQ, Tyler Saenz was working in Waikīkī when his $260 monthly parking pass failed. With no time to search, he parked in a nearby driveway, unsure if he’d return to a tow—but left a note on the windshield and hurried into the office. That note turned into an $80-a-month handshake deal—and the spark for PARKLINQ.
With no debt and no venture capital, the company began from a cashed-out 401(k) and a few pieces of scrap wood from Home Depot—painted by hand to mark the company's first parking spaces in Waikīkī.
By 2020, after two years of building a full-stack platform, PARKLINQ launched in Honolulu with contactless technology that automated operations, cut costs, and optimized demand—just as the pandemic exposed the industry’s reliance on outdated systems.

By 2021, the vision expanded. We moved from unlocking underused roads and lots to managing flagship assets for institutional real estate owners. That year, we introduced smartphone-based ID verification to instantly distinguish locals from tourists-no gates, meters, or attendants-and launched it at a premier destination with 1,000 spaces, 500,000 annual guests, and dynamic resident-versus-tourist pricing. The success of that launch fueled 6x annual growth and set the foundation for locals-first parking asset management.

securing our first patent.
In 2022, we entered the luxury resort market with a 642-acre community home to Disney, Four Seasons, a mega-yacht marina, and retail village. Expansion across three Hawaiian islands drove 13× annual growth. Our defining moment came in 2023 with a U.S. patent for LocalPerks™—the world’s first smartphone-based resident verification system. So far, over 500,000 discounts have been redeemed through instant ID verification—unlocking free or reduced-rate parking and locals-only spaces, and setting a new benchmark for protecting community access in tourism hubs.

and patents pending in 46 countries.
In 2024, PARKLINQ welcomed its one millionth customer and expanded into Hawai‘i’s premier 23,000-acre luxury resort and nature preserve—home to Ritz-Carlton, Montage, and the PGA Golf Tour. Our platform grew to power Hawai‘i’s largest museum, largest aquarium, and largest nature preserve, while partnerships with Colliers and Jones Lang LaSalle reinforced our position as the leader in parking innovation for high-tourism markets.
By 2025, we had served over three million customers and processed $30 million in transactions. A new partnership with Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, underscored our scale. But the defining milestone was expanding our patent portfolio. Now reaching beyond parking—whether it’s discounts on shopping and dining, or access to your office or condo—where something as simple as an ID address, verified with a biometric selfie scan, can instantly unlock lower pricing, free entry, or secure access wherever life takes you.
In childhood, summer days felt infinite, and the season stretched as far as we could imagine — headfirst, arms open, into the next adventure. That feeling is still with us at PARKLINQ. Parasailing. Jet skiing. Outrigger canoes. Even Jurassic Park brought to life. Moments that remind us to keep exploring, keep creating — and to enjoy the ride together.
