All payments are made through our website or mobile app, however there’s no need to create an account or download the app to pay for basic parking.  Just open your camera app and point your phone at the QR code on the PARKLINQ sign. Then tap the pop-up banner and follow the prompts.

Trouble scanning the QR code? Text the zone number on the sign to 42222 or visit parklinq.com and enter the zone number.

No smartphone? Call support at (808) 517-5017. To expedite your call, please have your license plate number and credit card ready for payment.

You can edit your license plate from your receipt.  Click the "Edit" button next to your license plate.  You can also edit your license plate by logging into your PARKLINQ account and clicking on "My license plate" in the menu.

PARKLINQ offers hourly parking (reserved 15-minute increments), variable rates (multiple hours at a discounted rate), daily parking (24-hours), flat-rate (one price for a set period of time), monthly subscriptions (auto-pay for long-term parkers), and annual passes (hedge against rate increases).

Yes, our tiered system (Rates for Residents™) can instantly verify out-of-state visitors VS Hawaii residents and offer corresponding rates at select locations.  For example, while the visitor parking rate may be $3 per hour, a Hawaii resident can hold their Hawaii driver’s license in front of their phone camera and instantly receive preferential rates (or free) for a period of time (ex. 90-minutes).  15-minutes before the time-period expires, residents will receive a notification with an option to stay longer at the visitor (non-resident) parking rate (available in increments of 15 minutes).

Residents must be registered to activate each complimentary parking session. 

  • To register, text the zone # of the parking lot to 42222.
  • The system will respond with a text message including a link to verify Hawaii residency using a valid Hawaii driver’s license.
  • For return visits, residents must activate a new parking session for each visit.
  • To activate a new parking session, text the zone # of the parking lot to 42222.  The system will recognize the registered phone and automatically start a free parking session after confirming the license plate.


After registering with Rates for Residents™ at any location, the system will recognize the registered phone number at other PARKLINQ® locations statewide.

PARKLINQ uses license plate numbers to track which vehicles have paid/registered for parking. Once you have paid for parking, our system will make it visible to the parking attendants or enforcement officers on site. Parking attendants and enforcement officers use a handheld device to look up your zone number and license plate number to confirm that you have paid/registered for parking.

For most paid parking situations, the information collected by PARKLINQ is limited to your license plate number (used for enforcement), your phone number or email (to provide a receipt and a 15-minute reminder before expiration), and a payment method (such as a credit card or Apple Pay®). 

However, the company offers two products (Required Documents and Rates for Residents™) that require verification (such as a valid Hawaii ID and/or vehicle insurance and registration) to reserve a parking spot.  These two programs confirm the identity of global users to prevent misuse or attacks from fraudsters while minimizing friction for legitimate customers.  By centralizing ID and insurance verification with core business operations like payments and subscriptions, customers can spend less time hopping between systems.

Required Documents—the company’s secure online portal makes it easy for long-term parkers to prove their identity and insurance at onboarding while fulfilling a crucial part of the compliance requirements for property owners’ insurance.

Yes.  PARKLINQ is built based on expertise we’ve developed from building a state-wide infrastructure that handles millions of dollars in payments annually.  We have implemented measures designed to secure your Personal Identifiable Information (PII) from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.  Our system transfers verification data via TLS encrypted connections and uses AES-256 encryption at rest.  All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls.  Any payment transactions and related information is encrypted using SSL technology.

You're welcome to cancel your reservation for a full refund up to 5 minutes prior to the reservation start time. You can cancel the booking on your parking receipt or call customer support.

If you booked parking through the Parklinq website, you would find your receipt in two places:

  1. The text message that you received after booking your parking.
  2. Log in at parklinq.com. Then select the "Receipts" tab on the menu.

If you booked parking through the Parklinq mobile app, you will find your receipt under the 'Receipts' tab of the app.

15 minutes before your parking expires, PARKLINQ sends you an alert via text message so you can easily extend time right from your phone. Please remember that any time parked outside the period listed on your reservation may result in an additional fee of $29-$79. Repeat offenses may result in having your vehicle towed.
